HGTV stark studio gets stylish after

For the HGTV program Mission Organization my decorating partner and I took on the challenge of transforming a plain, cluttered room into an inviting, creative workspace for a young fashion designer and her mother.

Our solutions for “Stark Studio Gets Stylish” included: clever and pretty organization ideas to maximize storage, such as stacked hatboxes to corral trims & zippers and a fold-away ironing board; practical working solutions that do double duty as decorative elements, such as fitting mirrors that also serve as noteboards and framed fabric boards that display inspiration pieces and look like art; and a bold yet feminine color scheme of pink, black and white to unify and enliven the space.

The result? A practical yet pretty workspace that made both mom & daughter happy.

UPDATE: This makover became one of the top-rated episodes on HGTV, and also appeared on the Fine Living Network.
